Effective date: June 22, 2026
Aleksei Grebenkin ("Developer", "we", "us") built Markdown View ("the App") as a free application. This page informs users regarding our policies with respect to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. All data — imported documents, reading history, and preferences — is stored locally on your device and is never sent to any server.
The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with third parties.
The App does not knowingly collect any personal data from children. Since the App does not collect any data at all, it is safe for users of all ages.
All imported documents and user preferences (display settings, theme) are stored exclusively on your device using the standard iOS storage mechanisms (SwiftData). No data leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Share function.
The App accesses files only when you explicitly import them through the Files picker or the Share Sheet. The App does not access your file system in the background or without your consent. Imported documents are copied into the App's local storage.
The App does not require an internet connection and makes no network requests. It works entirely offline.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
